Corn and Callus Removal in Burnley
Corns, callus and hard skin gently reduced by a qualified Foot Health Practitioner, so walking feels comfortable again.
Appointment only · Hapton, Burnley BB11 5QH
Why corns and callus build up
Callus is a patch of thickened, hardened skin that forms where your foot takes repeated pressure or friction, often on the ball of the foot or the heel. A corn is a smaller, deeper point of hard skin, usually on or between the toes, and it can be surprisingly sore when it presses on a nerve.
At the clinic, corns are carefully removed and callus and hard skin are gently reduced, to relieve pressure and discomfort. Lynda will also look at where the pressure is coming from and give practical advice, because corns and callus often return if the cause stays the same.
Corns and callus are part of the full foot treatment, which also includes toenail cutting.

Can You Get Rid of a Corn Permanently? An Honest Answer
Corns can be reduced and kept comfortable, but they return unless the pressure causing them changes. Here is what ongoing foot care really involves.
Corns, Callus and Hard Skin questions
How much is corn removal in Burnley?
Corns, callus and hard skin are treated as part of a full foot treatment, which is £35 and also includes toenail cutting.
Does having a corn removed hurt?
Corn removal should not hurt. It is carried out gently and carefully. If anything feels uncomfortable, say so and Lynda will stop and adjust.
Will my corn come back?
It can, if the pressure that caused it carries on. That is why Lynda looks at where the pressure is coming from and gives advice on footwear, so you have the best chance of keeping your feet comfortable between visits.
What is the difference between a corn and a callus?
Callus is a wider patch of hard skin from repeated pressure or friction. A corn is a smaller, deeper, more concentrated point of hard skin that often feels sharper when you walk.
Should I use corn plasters at home?
Medicated corn plasters contain acid that can damage healthy skin around the corn, and they are not suitable for people with diabetes or poor circulation. If you are unsure, it is safer to book an appointment or ask your GP or pharmacist first.
