When cutting your own nails gets difficult
Many people reach a point where cutting their own toenails is no longer easy. Bending is harder, eyesight is not what it was, or the nails themselves have become thick and tough. It is one of the most common reasons people book a foot health appointment, and there is nothing to feel awkward about.
Lynda cuts and files nails to a comfortable length and shape, and can look after nails that have become thick and hard to manage. You are welcome to book on behalf of a parent or relative.
If you also have hard skin or corns, a full foot treatment covers both in one visit.

Toenail Cutting questions
How much does toenail cutting cost in Burnley?
Basic toenail cutting at the clinic is £25. A full foot treatment, which adds corns and callus to toenail cutting, is £35.
Can you cut thick toenails?
Yes. Thickened nails are a common reason people book. Lynda will assess your nails, advise on the best way to manage them, and will let you know if anything about the nail needs your GP's opinion.
Who cuts toenails for elderly people?
A Foot Health Practitioner is a good choice for routine toenail cutting for an older relative who can no longer manage their own feet. Family members are welcome to make the booking.
Is toenail cutting safe if I am diabetic?
Diabetics are very welcome at the clinic. Please mention your diabetes when you book. Diabetic foot screening is also available as a service.
How often should toenails be cut professionally?
It depends on how quickly your nails grow and how easily you can manage them between visits. Lynda will suggest an interval that suits you.
